Adara’s Health Outreaches deliver interrelated components of education, awareness, screening and where possible, treatments, in informal community settings offering a broad spectrum of health services. Our goal is to improve health outcomes for low-income women through health promotion and disease prevention. Adara has delivered outreaches in about 7 different communities within Lagos, reaching over 8,700 families with blood pressure, blood sugar, malaria and HIV/AIDS screening and tests; as well as providing eye-testing services and free glasses as needed. Outreaches are delivered in partnership with leading St. Nicholas Hospital, MedPlus Pharmacy and other health sector organizations.
