Our flagship skills acquisition program, trains financially challenged women to be skilled textile artisans, who are knowledgeable about, and able to produce and trade profitably in the best quality tie & dye and batik prints.
The intensive and hands-on workshops epitomize the Foundation’s holistic approach to women’s empowerment, exposing beneficiaries to skills training, health education, financial education, and market access opportunities.
EWARE is offered at no cost to participating women and the Foundation aims to eliminate barriers to participation by providing all training materials a well-balanced meal throughout the duration of the training. Almost 300 women have been trained since the program was launched in 2017. Post-training, Adara Foundation offers an apprenticeship program that allows graduates to further hone their skills.
Today, many EWARE alumni continue to hone and make a living via their tie-dye craft. Some design and produce for some of Nigeria’s leading fashion designers, some have launched their ready to wear fashion lines, a few deliver tie-dye training and several have remained part of the Foundation’s Access to Market Program production team.
EWARE is delivered in partnership with Nike Art Center Foundation, a leading arts institution in Nigeria.
We deliver entrepreneurship training to women entrepreneurs. The programme is designed to help women entrepreneurs strengthen and grow their enterprises through business and financial education, and peer support. ETWE is delivered in partnership with Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN).
